The mission of The Greater Pine Bluff Chamber of Commerce
is to strengthen the community by developing and promoting our resources, which will sustain an environment of economic growth.

Purpose: Support the agricultural community.
Programs: Farmers Appreciation Fish Fry, Farm Tour
Business Expo Committee

Meets: Scheduled as needed prior to event
Purpose: Provide businesses with an opportunity to increase contacts through Business Expo.
Business Relations Committee

Meets: Second Monday of each month at 12:00 p.m.
Purpose: Offer services to Chamber members designed to increase business opportunities.
Programs: Customer Service Training.
Community Division

Community Marketing Committee

Meets: Quarterly
Purpose: Assist in attracting new resident-employees to Pine Bluff/Jefferson County and Southeast Arkansas.
Programs: Tours, community docents, newcomer receptions.
Leadership Pine Bluff

Meets: Second Tuesday of each month from September through May.
Purpose: Identify and develop future leaders for Pine Bluff and Jefferson County.
Taskforce on Urban Growth and Development

Purpose: Facilitate a cooperative community-wide effort to accelerate the quantity and enhance the quality of development in the central business district.
UAPB/SEARK Committee

Purpose: To support our two local colleges in providing educational opportunites and coordinate the UAPB/SEARK College Transfer Scholarship 5K.
Arkansas Scholars

Purpose: Through the Arkansas Scholars program, develop a spirit of cooperation between the five Jefferson County public schools districts and the business community.

Purpose: Serves as offical host for Chamber events while enhancing membership retention and recruitment.

Purpose: Increase Chamber membership through informative programs, value-added services and rentention initiatives.

Issues and Legislation

Purpose: Monitor and inform members of actions by Congress, Arkansas General Assembly, Pine Bluff City Council and Jefferson County Quorum Court and take action when appropriate.

Purpose: Provide prospective candidates for public office and their campaign workers a bsic foundation for conducting a campaign. Inform Chamber members of candidate's position on issures.
Program: Candidate Development Institute (CDI)
Transportation Committee

Meets: Scheduled as needed
Purpose: Improve the quality and capacity of the transportation system in Pine Bluff/Jefferson County and Southeast Arkansas.
