Introduction

As long as there is a difference between what a community can be and what it is, there is a need for the Chamber of Commerce.

One of the primary goals of the Greater Pine Bluff Chamber of Commerce is to make the Pine Bluff/Jefferson County community the best that it can be by offering our businesses tools for success. Our volunteers work diligently through a committee structure to provide tools such as:

Knowledge of How Governmental Decisions Impact Our Businesses
We monitor legislation, host briefings with our congressmen and legislators and represent our member businesses on the issues.
Continuing education
We sponsor seminars and presentations on topics such as marketing your business, motivating your employees, credit and the attitudes of credit in addition to member representatives sharing their own business experiences. A new program offers Chamber member businesses personalized customer relations training for their managers and employees.
Networking Opportunities
We coordinate the annual Business Expo and Business After Hours. In fact, committee meetings themselves offer great networking opportunities.
Candidate Development
We coordinate the Candidate Development Institute, a practical politics course. The Chamber does not endorse candidates for public office, however we have developed a strong training program for those considering a candidacy for office or just interested in the process.
Small Business Development
We seek out opinions from our small business owners regarding their challenges and concerns, and then we move to help them meet their needs. Opportunities for continuing education are offered all small business owners, with occasional training targeting minority and women-owned businesses.

While volunteers are developing tools for success, our Redcoats and Membership Services Committee are maintaining close contact with members in an effort to continually improve services we offer.

As you can see, our volunteers are vital to the success of The Chamber!

The Chamber's programs fit closely with the work of the Jefferson County Industrial Foundation, our partner in the Economic Development Alliance of Jefferson County, in reaching our ultimate goal of creating more and better jobs for our citizens.
